Why Securing the Edge for NIS2 doesn’t need to be Mission Impossible

Given the emergence of AI over the past year or so, the introduction of the European Union NIS2 Directive in late 2024 was not a moment too soon. Just like in the latest installment of Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning, IT teams are now having to deal with their own “mini-Entity” as they attempt to stay ahead of hackers.

In fact, one could argue that the original Network and Information Security (NIS) Directive was already somewhat out of date when it became effective in 2018 in that it only applied to limited types of organizations and left too many implementation details to individual member states. Secure I.T. Environments completes complex data centre upgrade on Jersey

Secure I.T. Environments Ltd (SITE), a leading UK provider of design and build services for modular, containerised, and micro data centres, has announced the successful completion of a demanding upgrade project on Jersey — the largest of the Channel Islands.

The project involved intricate logistics, including shipping all equipment — such as three air conditioning systems — to a remote location 14 miles off the coast of Normandy, and was delivered on time and within budget.
